From the Earth
This mural will draw directly from the site’s history as a former cigar box factory while celebrating themes of community and growth. At the center, a hand cradles a bouquet—symbolizing the collective power of access to nature and deep community roots. The bouquet’s visible roots anchor the imagery to the space, highlighting resilience and connection, while the blooming flowers reflect vitality and expansion. Subtly woven among the stems are tobacco leaves, a quiet nod to the building’s past and its role in shaping the neighborhood’s story.
