Tide to Timber

First (and hopefully not the last), mural in Northern BC! This mural celebrates the five defining landscapes of Kitimat: the Douglas Channel, Kitimat River, rainforest, mountains, and sky, brought to life through local flora and fauna.

Originally designed for a series of highway pillars, the concept was adapted into a vibrant backdrop for a children's park. Rather than our usual expressive realism, this piece explores a more graphic approach, using bold silhouettes, layered shapes, and simplified forms to create a playful composition that feels both contemporary and deeply connected to the surrounding landscape.

Thanks to everyone in Kitimat for making us feel so welcome.
