Change In Aura

This is the first finished commission painting of 2026. The painting was commissioned by a private client in Kingston, ON. They requested a painting that celebrated different species in Eastern Canada. To bring out this palette the most effectively, I chose to depict a Blue Jay and two Blue Birds on each side of it, including different layers of Oak, Maple and Ginko Leaves. Ultimately, this painting was an exercise in color, texture, light and focus.
